What is NADCAP Certification?

NADCAP, formerly called the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation, is an international cooperative of companies committed to special processes and continued improvement within the aerospace and defense industries. This industry-managed approach brings together experts from both government and industry sectors to streamline operational program requirements for suppliers.

Prior to the implementation of NADCAP, companies audited their own suppliers based on their own specific processes, which resulted in duplicate audits – and ultimately, a larger workload – with little to no value. The Performance Review Institute (PRI) was established in the late 90’s to implement the NADCAP program and streamline audits across the industry, changing the standards for these organizations completely.

Benefits of NADCAP Accreditation

There are seemingly endless advantages to working with a NADCAP-certified organization; in fact, oftentimes companies will only work with organizations that have this accreditation. Some of these benefits include but are not limited to:
